AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filters provide maximum iltration protection against wear and oil contamination for professionals and people who want above-and-beyond protection. Working in conjunction with the engine's full-flow oil ilter, AMSOIL Bypass Filters operate by iltering oil on a "partial-flow" basis. They draw less than 5% of the oil sump's capacity at any time and trap the extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow ilters can't remove. AMSOIL Bypass Filters typically ilter all of the oil in the system several times an hour, so the engine continuously receives analytically clean oil.
AMSOIL Bypass Filters deliver ine-particle iltration down to 2 microns. This highly eficient ilter provides exceptional iltration performance, removing all the particles known to reduce engine life.
Our high-eficiency bypass ilter element also removes soot particles two microns and larger, eliminating abrasive wear from soot agglomeration.
AMSOIL Bypass Filters have a marine powder-coated exterior and an anti-corrosion coated base plate to provide excellent corrosion protection. AMSOIL Bypass Filters feature a nitrile HNBR gasket, a silicone anti-drain valve and proprietary high-efficiency media.
AMSOIL Bypass Filters offer long service life. Do not exceed the limits listed in the chart below.
The increased luid system capacity and iltration life provide improved oil cooling and ensure that equipment constantly runs on highly iltered oil. Engine eficiency is increased,providing extended engine life.
a. Make sure to check oil level with engine oil dipstick to ensure proper level. This additional volume is an estimate and should be properly evaluated using the dipstick.
b. Filters can be used on sumps of larger capacity but may requiremore frequent replacement.
